Karsten Schmitz

Karsten Schmitz is an art collector, art philanthropist and social entrepreneur. He developed one of one of Germany s largest contemporary art spaces, the internationally renowned Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei. In 2000 he started the foundation Federkiel for promotion of con temporary art and culture. He is also committed to the areas of ecology and education since 2007 he supports the integrative Montessori School Monte Balan in Munich.
